Cleanse
Rinse warm, not hot. Work a coin of gentle wash from root to tip. Pat, never rub, with a linen towel.
Oil
Three to five drops of No. 03 into the palms. Warm for a beat, then work into the skin and out through the beard.
Balm
A pea-sized scoop of No. 07 softened between the thumbs. Shape the beard, seal the ends, tame the strays.
Comb
Down first, then up from underneath for shape. Thirty seconds and you're on with your day.

ByeByeBeardie started in 2019 on a folding table in a Portland apartment, when the three of us got tired of pouring overpriced drugstore oil into our palms every morning. Six months of testing later, No. 03 Cedar & Smoke shipped to the first hundred customers — all friends, all still on the mailing list.
Today the operation lives in a converted mechanic's garage in inner southeast. It still fits three people, one dog, and a Bluetooth speaker that plays exactly one 1963 cast recording on loop. Every bottle is filled, capped, labeled and boxed by hand. We think you can tell.
